Facility Rental Information

The Redwood Empire Fair and Event Center is a landscaped facility available for year-round use with multi-purpose buildings available for both large and small meetings and receptions.


FACILITIES AVAILABLE

Insurance is required for all Fairgrounds Use.

ABC License is required to sell alcoholic beverages.

All fees are “per day” unless otherwise stated.


CARL PURDY HALL - This 17,000+ square foot building is excellent for large events. Accommodates 1,000 for banquets. Full size commercial kitchen.

Rental rate includes stage, the use of 40 tables, 400 chairs and 2 portable bars. $800 per day ($600 damage deposit).


FINE ARTS - Ideal for banquets & meetings. Newly Carpeted. The building is 4,284 square feet and accommodates up to 250 for banquets. Full size commercial kitchen. Rental rate includes the use of 30 tables, 250 chairs and 1 portable bar. $500 per day ($500 damage deposit) or $250 for half day.

CANCELLATION POLICY

A $ 50 administration fee will be retained by the Fair for all canceled events. In addition: If cancellation occurs 180 days prior to event, 100% of rental fees will be refunded, less the $50 admin fee. If cancellation occurs between 30 & 180 days prior to event, 50% of rental fees will be retained unless fair is able to re-rent the facility; if cancellation occurs less than 30 days prior to event, 75% of rental fees will be retained unless fair is able to re-rent the facility.


CONVENIENTLY LOCATED

The Redwood Empire Fair and Event Center is conveniently located just off Highway 101 in Ukiah, California. From the North Ukiah Exit go 5 blocks south to the fairgrounds entrance at 1055 North State Street.


Ukiah Your Host Community

The heart of Ukiah is a pleasant seven block stroll from the fairgrounds. Along the way are a variety of fine restaurants, shops and banks. A major shopping center is just one block to the north. The fertile Ukiah Valley boasts fields of grapes and pears, as well as many award winning wineries.

Annual highlights in Ukiah include the Spring Fest June 4th-6th (weekend after Memorial Day) and Redwood Empire Fair August 5th - 8th, 2010.

SURROUNDING AREAS OF INTEREST

Located in the beautiful Ukiah Valley, an ideal vacation spot, the town is conveniently located near a variety of day trip opportunities. The scenic coast, including the quaint town of Mendocino, is just 40 miles to the West; the well-known Skunk Train can be boarded at Willits, 26 miles to the north; the nearby town of Hopland, just 12 miles to the south, is enjoying a renaissance that includes fine restaurants, antique shops, wineries, and a brewpub. Ukiah is also a mere 60 miles north of Santa Rosa and 120 miles north of San Francisco.


ATTRACTIONS AND ACTIVITIES

The area boasts a nearby river, several lakes, boating, swimming, and fishing are popular pastimes.

There are museums, plays by the local theater group, Sunday concerts in the City park (summer months), Ukiah Symphony performances, and many other local activities available.
